SPRINGFIELD LEGISLATIVE FORUM – LIFE MY WAY
A legislative forum is being held on Tuesday, August 3 at 5:30 pm at Lincoln Library, 326 S. 7th Street, Springfield, in conjunction with the Life My Way forums being held all over the state. We have invited Senator Bomke, State Representative Poe and State Representative Brauer, Mayor Davlin, and Kent DeLay, candidate for 99th State Representative to this forum.
The goal of the forum is to educate candidates on the importance of quality self-directed services for people with disabilities in Illinois, offer candidates an opportunity to educate voters on their planned disability policies, and to impress upon candidates the importance of the disability vote.
Our Coalition believes that people with disabilities deserve equality and freedom. People with disabilities should be able to direct their lives and to live life our way.
